Meet Joy Stewart
The two things you need to know about Joy are that she’s passionate about skin health and she cares deeply for all her clients. Even before she opened Touch of Joy, her goal was always to help people achieve the very best skin possible.
Joy does this not only by providing state-of-the-art services to treat a variety of skincare concerns (from acne to facial firming to hyperpigmentation) but also by generously sharing her knowledge about skin health.
Her best tip for everyone? Drink plenty of water with lemon. It’s how she starts her morning everyday! (Be sure to always drink plain water after to protect your enamel.)
And while Joy won’t treat and tell, she’s worked with dozens of TV and film producers and celebrities (and helped said celebrities outwit waiting paparazzi ). She’s the reason why your favourite stars look so good on the big screen and in high def. And she can do the same for you!
Joy brings to her clinic an unsurpassed level of passion, dedication and international level of skincare excellence. Having traveled the world, she’s adopted the best esthetic practices from a variety of countries and cultures. Selective in what she pursues and offers to clients, she’s received professional training in France, Japan, the US and Canada, and continues to look for educational opportunities so she can provide her clients with unparalleled services in Vancouver.
Joy’s certifications include LPG Endermologie® (LPG Canada), Lymphatic Therapy (Institute of Lymphatic Therapy of North America), Cosmotology (Aveda Institute) and is an active member of the Beauty Council of Western Canada.
With a BSc in Nursing, Andrea first worked as a nurse in the Philippines and as a healthcare worker in Japan before coming to Canada, looking for adventure and a change in career. Always curious, she immersed herself in the world of skin health and esthetics, building upon her medical background. Within three years of arriving, she was invited to join Touch of Joy, where she’s since been a steady and invaluable presence to the team.
With experience in art and design, Raquel has an intuitive eye for design and details. Combined with her passion for skincare, microblading is a natural fit for her talents. She received her microblading training at Backlash Academy and has been working at Touch of Joy since January 2017. Her warm, affable personality instantly puts clients at ease, but it’s her expert, precision work that keeps her in constant demand.
While completing her Professional Esthetics program at Blanche Macdonald Centre, Marina discovered her love for facials. Wanting to pursue her education in medical esthetics, she enrolled in the training institute at All Body Laser, graduating in 2018. Her calm and optimistic demeanour has quickly endeared her to Touch of Joy clients. Her goal is simply to make each of her clients be as comfortable and happy in their skin as possible.
Camila joins us by way of Brazil, where she earned her five-year degree in physiotherapy and then went on to open her own clinic. With an advanced knowledge of human physiology and skin health, coupled with a finessed sense of touch, Camila brings a unique set of skills and a fresh perspective to Touch of Joy. She is fluent is Portuguese and advanced in English.
