Our Founder
Joy Stewart established Touch of Joy in 2000 after working for almost a decade as an aesthetician in the Philippines, Japan and Victoria, BC. Obsessed with skin care, and committed to delivering meticulous, Asian-style spa services, Joy was one of the first to offer Brazilian waxes on BC's West Coast. Today, she and her team of aestheticians and associates provide a complete portfolio of beauty treatments from her False Creek premises and Mobile spa service , with a special focus on personalized care. Trained and licensed in both BC and Asia, Joy also teaches advanced aesthetic courses to spa technicians and Spas throughout BC.

We've been fortunate enough to have visited some amazing clothing-optional beaches and resorts in the Caribbean. Each time, before we go away, we make sure to get a "Brazilian" done at "Touch of Joy". Hi Joy, I've been coming to you for over a year now and I just want to say what a difference I've seen in the appearance of the skin in my bikini zone. I have dark skin and one thing very common in dark skin is ingrown hair and dark bumps appearing as a result. I used to be very uncomfortable with this area and it's appearance. At first I was afraid of the procedure because in the past I found it painful and unpleasant. On my first visit Joy, you calmed me down with your gentle touch, pain free removal and professionalism, so much so coming every three weeks to a month was no longer something I dreaded.
